While I agree that Amazon owns too much (politicians should be on the map as well), breaking up is not necessarily a good idea. Remember Ma Bell and the Baby Bells?
The Bells should have been nationalized as all utilities should be, most of what amazon does is not things we need to nationalize (imo)
I strongly disagree. If we don’t nationalize IMDB then how can we possibly have any trust in the integrity and honesty of movie reviews?
Everyone should be entitled to have access to accurate movie ratings.

fuck Amazon, sure, but in Amazon vs Google we lose either way.
It’s so wild that tycoons will be like “central planning doesn’t work, we gotta leave everything up to the market”, but then the market just looks like 5-10 mega-conglomerates centrally planning everything.
