  • I genuinely don’t know how people are having their web browser use so much ram. How many tabs do you have open? Even at work where I run a commercial loan origination system and our core customer system in a web browser, at most I’ll have 15-20 tabs open. I don’t know how people are having dozens and dozens of tabs open that they’re using 64 gb of RAM.

  • I’ve ended up shifting a lot of stuff back to brick and mortar just because Amazon can’t be trusted on anything that isn’t a brand you already know. I was looking for gym shorts with the sewn in compression shorts and all of it was just the exact same image under many stupid brands. Just a quick glance the same image is being used by Leidowei, Surenow, NELEUS, Ultra Performance, Aolesy, JWJ, Born Tough, Pudolla. Like how can you trust any of those? Went to Dicks and just bought their in store brand (DSG) and they’ve been working out great. Plus I can actually inspect them and try them on before buying. Unless you’re buying a known brand/commodity, Amazon is just filled with drop shippers and you can’t trust their reviews at all. We’re letting our Amazon Prime membership go this year because I just don’t need it anymore.

  • Yes. They have some flaws. I’m willing to admit that but to say they’re shitty when they have fewer problems than pretty much any American built vehicle is being disingenuous. Saying one experience doesn’t make a rule and then following that up with anecdotal evidence from a couple people you know as proof is also disingenuous. I’m not saying they make the best vehicles on the road. I’d probably give that notch to Toyota. My point isn’t to say that they’re the best manufacturer out there but to call them shitty isn’t being honest. They have far fewer problems than their American made counterparts. Toyota and Honda are going to be better options but to say Hyundai are shitty is not accurate.

  • Yeah. I work in commercial lending and do a lot of financial analysis so I need a numpad. This board was a treat to myself for getting a new job that allows 3 days remote work where my last job had to be in the office 100% since I was managing the lending department. But this is a perfect compromise on space since really narrows down the navigation key area from a 3 wide section with arrows/home/pg up/pg down/del/insert/etc and bumps the arrows into the main section and then just gives a couple keys for navigation. I have them set to Pg Up/Pg Down/Delete for the three keys between the numpad and letters. The purple key at the top of that section is Home. FN+Purple key is end. And the bottom one (the blueberrys) is delete and FN+delete is Print Screen.

I was between the Q5 Pro and the Zoom98 which has a very similar layout but I didn’t want to wait for the group buy on the Zoom98. Super happy with my purchase though on the Q5 Pro.

  • Thanks! I had on some cheapo GMK knockoffs from AliExpress while trying to find a keycap that I wanted. Keycaps are a pain to find since so many of them are group buys or super expensive especially if you need a number pad and want accent colors. GMK’s base sets are like $125 but their base doesn’t include a numpad so you need to add that for another $40 and then accent keys are another $30. I will say that the AliExpress are decent but they weren’t uniform keys and they definitely don’t feel as good or quality as the NovelKeys.
