Well, I appreciate the honesty. Have an upvote.

Interesting take. Do you also think of Mario Kart and Forza Horizon to be the same game?
I mean involvement of the voters themselves. I push a lot of my friends to just go vote, but they still won’t. If you figure out how to get people to actually want to fix the situation, let me know.
I agree with the viewpoints, but many voted for the Russia supporting party, and noone else got enough support in the primaries. There needs to be massively increased primary involvement before a systemic change to move away from the two party system can be feasible. I’m a big fan of ranked choice voting myself, but what big party candidate is going to advocate for that in the current climate? I’m hoping changes can happen over the next decade as my generation and the one below get even more active.
That would be a really fast way for me to stop spending any of my time on youtube I guess.
I’m on my phone less, commenting more, avoiding more ads, and much happier with the content/comments on Lemmy. Reddit chains sometimes felt a little brain-rotty.
I feel for you. D3 was the last for me after completing all acts twice. Flashy and hollow. Decided against more Blizzard games after that account got hacked and permabanned. It would have cost $60 to play again and Blizzard support was not supportive.
Late stage D3 is what showed me the future of Blizzard. I was surprised with the success of Overwatch, but when I learned what the pubs community was like, that surprise faded.
That’s because gum has less flavor and is unreasonably more expensive, at least in my case.
Honestly, I would switch to Linux if it didn’t take so much time to learn. I’ve messed around on a Raspberry π 4th gen board, but have no real experience. To really make the Linux jump, I’d need a tutor or something.
Also I don’t know which of my games will be compatible.
Good point. I say the software can be copywrite protected, but not the content the program generates.
In addition to the US government actually needing to do work, the senators would need to understand how to turn a computer on and off.
If you are stuck right now. Go ahead and eat some pickles. Some calories and nutrition is better than completely 0. Also keep in mind that Cal stands for Kilocalories, so a pickle serving may have anywhere from 100 to 5000 calories (0-5 Cal) based on the prior numbers
Asking the real questions here
Weird how it feels manageable to keep in the loop on Lemmy compared to Reddit. I like it a lot more.
Exactly. Do what you can when you can. Everyone needs a hand sometimes. Be that for the people around you. Even if you can’t agree on everything.
Lot of good things in here. A couple thoughts. One: Because Lemmy is nice to be on/use. The community generally ‘slaps’ as the generations below me call it. Two: Also white male USA and have also been deeply concerned for the past several years. I chose to focus on community directly around me while acknowledging the crappy situation everywhere due to asshats abusing power/status/wealth. I take solace that the people I choose to spend time around are generally reasonable people and try to help eachother out when we can and always when needed.
I’m working towards it, starting with Newpipe for my current content while searching for new.

I think his argument comes down to, don’t hate the playa, hate the game. Far better for them to have made the game, as it clearly is a good game. The publisher coming in and shitting all over everything is what makes the situation bad. Hopefully, this can serve as more inspiration for indie devs (who do make most of my fav games) and maybe lead to more studios not accepting Sony as a publisher. I can’t fault Arrowhead for wanting to make what they love, but I can hope Sony burns to the ground never to rise again.
