No joke my dad found a phone while on public trans on his way home from work and 2 hours later the cops showed up knocked and asked for the phone.
Owner choose not to press charges.
I live in a major US city. Who knew!
Question. Where does this “value” come from? Loss of business? Downtime? Labor loss due to people unable to work? Pull a number out of a hat?
These servers had no production data on them. Ideally with a proper DR solution you just restore and presa charges.
Yeah. Drop over $100 for a high end Pi or get a old refurbished slim pc for same with more compute/ram, VESA mountable, x64 vs ARM and more expandable…
That’s the biggest issue. Support.
Most of the success of the RPi is due to rasparian and community support.
Am I the only one that can still put the beans over the frank?
Edit: I’m 40 btw.
I just started messing with linux on an old laptop. Tried VNC and got annoyed. Switched to xRDP and it works as intended but performance is lackluster on a local network.
Anyone have thoughts or tips?
Back when i worked an office job this is why lots of people would just go sit in thier car during thier break.
I started doing it to take a undisturbed nap. Also so people stop bothering me while I’m on break.
My mouth is full of food and I’m chewing in the break room. Why the fuck are you here to talk to me about work…
Am I the only one who writes the Readme as I add features and do my commits.
Don’t leave your homework until the end and cram away just before it’s due.
Code every other day.
Code. Then review and document.
I also try to maintain my feature list in my Readme. Essentially my roadmap. Work my way down the list and write Code as features are added/updated.
Nice link!!
Codegeex and blackbox look good as far as features go
what are the competitors to github’s copilot? I tried it for personal and really like it but can’t use it for work due to IP leak risks.
I’m hoping there is a self hosted option for it.
Edit: found one. TabbyML
Yeah. Mine was “too complicated” because I had an HSA. Are you fucking kidding me?
I’ve switched to name generation to stay extra anonymous…
This is really sad.
My main machine is running a Asus motherboard. 12 years old and still games fine.
This would fix a boatload of issues and break down Verizon/Comcast into service vs infrastructure companies.
It will never happen.
Both companies would put forth a staggering amount of money into lobbying to kill this on top of all the politicians they already “donated” to.
It’s sickening.
MTX is also aiming for kids stealing thier parents credit cards and charging them up. At a minimum they ask ONLY for game credits for Xmas/bdays to burn on games so they have cool skins to brag to friends about.
Yeah. 11in laptops are a world of a difference in size from a 13in.
I recall hp and Sony used to make laptops this size before tablets took off.
Nowadays I’d recommend a Microsoft Surface or a tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard.
Not sure if you could get a off brand tablet and flash the OS with a Linux distro. That light be the path forward.
