I swipe and tap to type. It really depends on what I’m doing. If I’m typing one handed, swiping is really nice and super fast. I’ll also swipe to type if my phone is on the table and I’m only typing with one finger. If I’m using both hands, I will generally tap to type.
Edit to add I used SwiftKeys on Android
You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift is always a crowd pleaser
Reddit as a company is just so full of shit. “We’re so threatened by the fact that we can’t make money off of your subreddit that we’re going to threaten you.” Like?? All of this could have been avoided if they had just had reasonable pricing for their API. They’re just driving themselves into the ground.
This is sort of off topic, but do you like your Steam Deck? I’m trying to decide whether to build a PC or get a Steam Deck, but the thing is I literally just want something to run Steam Big Picture mode. It seems like a waste to build a PC just for that, but I’m worried the Steam Deck won’t run fantastically if I just want to leave it hooked up to my TV 90% of the time.
I think megathreads are useful for things like an album release or a weekly episode release. It gives a place for conversation to occur without flooding the community with duplicate posts. I think the megathreads you’re referring to though are the ones where it’s like “New DIY-ers, ask questions here!” I agree that those should stay gone. No one reads them and they aren’t helpful.
It does take a bit of poking around to learn, but once you get the hang of it things are pretty good. I’m excited for Sync for Lemmy so I have a more familiar app to use.
I’m excited for everyone to see how much better Lemmy is. I’m really happy we have a good option outside of Reddit.
I swapped my Sync app on my homescreen out for Jebroa for Lemmy, so when I instinctively go to open Reddit, I open Lemmy instead. Seems to be working well so far!
25 years old, I live in Alberta, Canada. I learned on automatic and then my first car was a manual. I have only owned cars with manual transmissions since. So much more fun to drive imo
