Always ask in an interview “What do you like about working here?”
You can usually gauge from they’re body language if it’s an awkward working environment. Not so easy when interviews are done online sadly.

Trying to get things lined up for the Dawntrail expansion for Final Fantasy XIV next week. When first announced I wasn’t very excited, but as it gets closer I’m looking forward to it more and more.
Also dispensing libertea in Helldivers 2
You’ll have to ask the company that eventually buys them out!
What annoys me is you still have to pay for audio books.
The true goal of Brexit, to hoard all our tea 🧐
As you say the initial hurdle is actually getting started, breaking it down into small tasks can be more encouraging. For me if I think “I need to hoover the house” chances are I’ll procrastinate. If however I focus on hoovering a single room I end up 90% of the time doing the whole house.
Definitely chippy chips with battered fish.
It’s not the destination but the journey. In that 360 turn you may have looked inwards and at your past, identified failings of the past or remember things you forgot about that you loved. When you reach that 360 point you’re more aware of what has been and may have a different outlook on what could be. Or something like that…
Unfortunately it excludes a great deal of gen x and millennials as well who may have voted remain.
It sucks. A lot of businesses, not just in game development, are getting rid of contractors as they’re expensive. I hope those contractors successfully find work soon.
The article didn’t really have any substance. To sum it up: “3 Body Problem shouldn’t have been associated with GoT. The book is better. Don’t like it? Watch Battlestar Galactica!”
90% of the time book to movie/TV adaptations have an interior outcome, but the standard of the content produced is still great in its own way.
I haven’t read 3 Body Problem, but I did enjoy the show. I’m looking forward to another season.
For me it was Lincoln and The Hate U Give. I gave the movies a chance but 30 mins in I just wasn’t feeling them. I think for THUG it was a secret showing at a cinema and I’d gone in with the expectation of an action/comedy movie so may not have been in the right frame of mind.
It’s nice to not be on the hype train for every major game release, because ultimately they will have the same shitfuckery shoed in, likely because of publishers. BG3 was a genuinely fun game and I’m glad Larian has done so well. You can really see a difference in games when it’s made from passion rather than the drive to make as much money as possible.
I tend to watch Clemmy Games to see what indie games are coming up. There are a lot of duds, but then you come across a diamond in the rough. Clemmy does a great job for me, releasing videos almost every day and I would recommend giving the channel a go!
If anyone genuinely feels this way and wants to get started in coding, I highly recommend doing one of the mooc.fi courses. Codecademy is fine as a taster/refresh but don’t waste money on the premium when something like mooc is available for free.
I’m a junior dev that has been on the job for ~6 months. I found AI to be useful for learning when I had to make an application in Swift and had zero experience of the language. It presented me with some turd responses, but from this it gave me the idea of what to try and what to look into to find answers.
I find that sometimes AI can present a concept to me in a way I can understand, where blogs can fail. I’m not worried about AI right now, it’s a tool to make our jobs easier!

Ah yes, I understand why they remove it as I don’t think it’s often used in its other contexts. I do prefer to use it to describe a bundle of sticks
Now I need to know what it is. My first thought would be Spotted Dick, but then Dick is a name. Maybe Pork removeds? That one I can understand being removed.
This gave big uncanny valley vibes. I imagine it was meant to feel like a magical advert, but instead it felt creepy.
