I think this is because the areas effected by sandstorms are pvp areas, not because the game is designed around pvp (from what I remember from the videos I watched)

I never played ck2 but I know that eu4 with and without dlc are like different games

I feel like the amount stuff paradox are putting behind dlc is better than what it was before either games like ck2, however, the quality of the stuff in the dlc has gotten a lot worse

They actually already have! In the most recent patch they updated the flight system to use the one from the single player game and overhauled the ui to be like the single player one (the old system was very outdated and slow)

I understand that no release date yet is bad but could people follow the development before complaining? Squadron 42, the game’s single player campaign, is FEATURE COMPLETE. This means that once all the features are ported to star citizen, the only thing it will be missing is server stuff (like a living market and server meshing) and in game locations like new star systems (the first of which is scheduled to release this year) and star citizen is feature complete as well. The developers have even announced that they are already planning a 1.0 release and will reveal more info soon, which the article did mention. I hate the fact that you can buy ships as well with real money but to think this game will never release is coming close to hoping the game will fail.

I’m not on linux, but I heard star citizen works and it’s running a free to play event right now until the 26th of May.

I just googled, an uprising only has a chance of starting 60-100 years after the first tech, they’ll probably be at least onto stellaris 2 by then so it’s a problem for the modders to solve

It is a shame they’re such a greedy company because, similarly to what you said in your 3rd paragraph, they make good games, some can be as good as games like factorio at times, but it’s always ruined by their dlc.

You mentioned free updates at the end, I believe they are doing that for victoria 3, but their first big expansion for the game, spheres of influence, comes out in June so we’ll see if they stick to that.

I love paradox games and have the money to by their dlc most the time and will keep buying the ones I want (because the beach dlc was too far even for the largest paradox shills) as long as the game’s stability and the free players are prioritised, unlike the way they have been treated in cities: skylines 2.

And yes, fuck paradox, shame their games are ruined by their greed.
