Even if the thing doesn’t get airborne anymore, it’d be one hell of a way to build up a flight simulator for gaming. Probably not what’s going on here but it’s what I’d do.

They’re out there but it’s been hard to document their existence since they blend in so well with their environment. This natural camouflage is a double-edged sword, however: they may be able to avoid getting eaten by predators but it also makes reproduction particularly challenging since they have a hard time finding one another to do it like the Discovery channel.

Even when a potential breeding pair are able to meet up, their coupling is far from guaranteed due to the abundance of other green orifices in their usual habitats. Grass-covered mole tunnels, mossy logs with holes in them and bee nests in leafy trees have all been accidental natural fleshlights for these poor creatures. Like they say, it’s not easy being green.

Maybe go with circus prices instead since they both charge you money to see a bunch of clowns.

Deeply biased in favor of human rights, maybe.

Since your 160/day figure isn’t enough to make the cut, what’s the magic number to push them over the threshold and turn this atrocity into a full-blown crime against humanity? As long as they max out at the Holocaust’s daily average minus one, everything’s peachy? I have no illusions that any of the newly-minted war criminals in the IDF are going to read this and decide to do anything to stop it but an honest, competent observer must see similarities in the barbarism and motives.

I refuse to believe that a sane, rational person would put forth such a braindead argument in good faith.

In some cases, yes. We should do the same here in the USA once the value of a person’s theft exceeds a limit based on the value of a human life. There is a number for that based on earning potential and some other factors. Give it a multiplier (maybe ten times the value of a life but that’s for bean counters to figure out) and also consider mitigating factors like we do in homicide cases. Somebody who steals enough to wipe out many lifetimes of hard, honest work may not be directly killing anyone but theft at that scale has destructive and deadly consequences.
