So much so that TFLClassics on YouTube in Colorado bought a well maintained model T and drove it to the nearest dealership and had mechanics there change the oil and take it for a spin just the other week.

It’s not even almost, in 2019 there was a settlement where they were found to literally be making older devices artificially slower once a newer model or two was out. Settlement sign ups ended in 2020, search Apple slowdown lawsuit.
I have an all Ubiquiti setup and only use local accounts for everything. UDM Pro, 2 8 port switches and 2 APs, U6Mesh and another older AP. One of my accounts had me turn on MFA but every device still let’s me use a local account with a password and ssh key. Do you know what devices are forcing that?
You can run the logs command against a label so it will match all 36 pods
I am running EndeavourOS which is arch wrapped in an installer and easy updater oneliner to update all your system and AUR packages. Still do have to interact with pacman and yay to install most things but really gives you a leg up to get started.
May have to explore this, I still run influxdb and telegraf for a push metrics operation instead of pull like prom. Things have been smooth for a while but a couple months ago disk temps and metrics stopped working with no errors or missing plugins
Hey! Finally gave it a go this morning but ran into some headaches pointing to existing dockerized mysql and postgres containers on unraid. I reached out in discord this afternoon but setting up auth according to the docker-compose on the site and github I get lots of errors about missing tables or properties during the database initialization.
Only two I’ve thought through naming are
Roshar - Unraid server where 90% of apps/services live.
Cobalt Guard - Ubiquiti UDMPro
Maybe Knight Radiant or a character who is one, or even one of the orders would have fit better for protecting roshar but I like how cobalt guard sounds for a FW
The 48V system and the binder Tesla sent to other auto manufacturers of how to finally do it is a great example. Videos I’ve seen on it made it seem really really cool, hopefully other manufacturers follow suit
Good to see this works with antennapod, just need to get a gpodder thing setup in my unraid server and give this a go. Been using antennapod on my phone for the last several years but didn’t do backups and exports often enough and when my Samsung dropped and died I lost 8 months of data. This would make it a lot easier to also be able to stream on my desktop during work. Will be giving it a go here soon!
I have not used Fedora server yet but like their desktop is. Currently my two VMs in unraid are Rocky Linux. Been using centos and now Rocky for the last 5-6 years and haven’t had any complaints
Been trying to read through to understand and see how all this is supposed to work, I guess it’s so you can use beeper app and infra and APIs to talk to your matrix server and the encryption/decryption/handshake happens here between matrix and beeper and then send to their servers for delivery and all that portion.
Ooo definitely going to give this a shot thanks for linking it. Their docs and guides say all of these bridges are encrypted and though things go through their app/services they cannot see or save anything, will be good to verify with my own bridge/instance however.
I just tried in February but could be because of the protocol either Wayland or X11, I run 2 1440p 144hz monitors and I think Wayland struggles with that. Have had better luck with arch and KDE x11
I’m going AMD next as well, pop wouldn’t run games on my 3080, finally got some running on endeavourOS currently but pop and fedora had lots of issues.
Can that easily stream HDR and things like Dolby vision? In research a while ago I thought it was only certain CPUs/GPUs and chrome could play things like Netflix at 4k/HDR
10 years ago back in college I mainly ran Ubuntu and did the windows VM with VFIO GPU passthrough to game on a fullscreen windows VM that got full PCI usage of the GPU, was the best of both worlds
My wife and a few family members use telegram, it’s perfectly fine for using as just a regular chat app, you can join spam or sketchy groups but if you don’t join premium or enable contact access, and generally be smart about using it, etc you will be fine.
My entire extended family only has iPhones and my wife and I are the only ones with android, gotten a lot of them on telegram to be able to have large group chats working well for everyone to have a good experience.
I appreciate the look behind the curtain but since apple was found in a court to have deceived customers and was proven of wrong doing it certainly is a bit more than just the media blowing it out of proportion or Apple actually doing people a favor that was misinterpreted. For example 3 days a week I use a phone from 2018 that was my daily driver for 3 years and needed to use it as a backup MFA device that I also sometimes stream and watch media on for a few hours a day. Updated it to the latest LineageOS and haven’t had to worry about freezing or being slow or shutting off and corrupting my shit.
