That would be a liability, and they would go after the parent company crying foul play.

Yeah, something like Adguard family DNS protection or any other family protection DNS service exist which works at the device level or even the network level and is simple to setup on smartphones and latops/computers or even the router.
YouTube won’t even load comments saying restricted mode if I browse through Adguard family protection DNS server.
The profile pictures are super tiny and I only sometimes read the names. So, for the most part I only check the post/comment and decide on a vote or comment action.
Hmm, I thought modern day browsers had protection against redirect and history poisoning attacks. Guess not in all.
Can you elaborate more about this “harmless history stealing” bit and how did you find it? Also, was the OS outdated in your case?
Like a sane person I use a system wide adblocker (Adguard) and unlock-origin in firefox. I also disable 3rd party iframes by default to reduce the crap being loaded by default on all my devices.
- “How can you not swim? Don’t breasts float like basketballs?”
Lol, this idiot. If breasts made people float on water. We would’ve used artificial wearable breasts to float instead of tubes!? Such stupidity!
A few hours give or take. Usually I read some threads or browse technology news in !technology@beehaw.org Sometimes, also share some news related to the android world in a Lemmy community like !android@lemdro.id
Stupidity at its finest. The whole point of cheap 3rd party apple accessories is to use workarounds to get past apple DRMs and use them without paying the apple tax.
Blame apple foremost for creating such a market in the 1st place. You don’t need such workarounds in other phones because they just work.
Fuck advon.
That’s Google’s version of android. Most OEMs still have the single tap internet toggle.
It depends on the app in question and how powerful your smartphone is. On flagship smartphones and well optimised apps there’s zero lag. On midrange smartphones and lower you may notice that on some heavy apps.
So, you should be fine as long as you get a current generation upper midrange or flagship smartphone.
What add-ons in particular made you make the change?
Maybe your install is bugged. Try clearing the cache and a app restart if that doesn’t fix the issue. Uninstall and reinstall firefox (backup your data 1st before).
Firefox has and is buggy on android. You may need to occasionally restart it once a while. It will continue to be improved. But, that may take time. Like the increased extensions which took years after the rewrite.
Turn off all related functions for photos in the Google photos app and delete any backed up pictures. Finally, disable/uninstall the Google photos app from your phone.
Considering, the mobile browser also has addons and will gain hundreds more in a few months. It’s a no-brainer.
Stupid if you ask me. Youtube is not, should not be the platform for games.
I’m getting the same results as this person. Not the weird ones like the original post
It takes a while for adaptive battery to kick (weeks). Especially, when you newly setup an android device. Same with adaptive brightness. Mine drains fast in active heavy use on 5G with motion smoothness set to high. I also have a dual sim model where one can be pulling the lowest signal strength from tower which can also affect battery drain.
Ah, what was that? I’m currently using one oneui 5. Compared to xioami, the software is more stable and doesn’t have stupid restrictions like not allowing access to running services or frequently killing background apps and services.
