The firmware on the remote was supposed to update after updating the AppleTV. I guess the update didn’t fix it. Pressing TV and volume down for a few seconds restarts the remote which usually fixes it for a while.

During Covid, they lent out multiple copies of the same book when they only had physical access to one copy. It would be like your local library making Xerox copies of their collection and handing them out. There’s no protections for that.

There are lots of biodegradable plastic alternatives now. I wish there were more government incentives to use them. Outlawing or taxing the hell out of single-use non biodegradable plastics in non-medical uses would help.
If I remember correctly, Microsoft experimented with something like this years ago. I tried to find a link but no luck. As I recall it focused on stitching together user-uploaded photos to create a panoramic view of a location over time.
It will be interesting to see the upgrade numbers in a year. Do most people not care about AI, or will the user base be wary? Current numbers show around 77% uptake on iOS 17.
