I tend to concern with my wellbeing, the wellbeing of those close to me and try to not concern about those things that I cannot control.

I tend to take interest in a lot of topics/hobbies and move from one topic to the next, trying to learn the most about it.

I’m a bit competitive and use games and sports to boost my ego, always focusing on more training when I cannot win. But no giving it too much attention that it makes me feel bad for not being the best I could be (It’s not my main focus nor my income).

Wouldn’t ubi make more sense if it were more like stamps for necessary things to live: food, clothing, materials, etc?

A problem I often see is with profiling from your data, imagine in a matter of three months you searched in google “remedies for headaches”, “what causes stomach pains”, “blood in feces”, your profile might get a flag warning possible colon cancer, now the next year your health insurance rises to double, because of the possibility of you developing cancer.

This is just a single cenario where they collect info about you and profile you and then sell the data to insurance companies, insurance pays big time because this info is valuable to them. How do you feel about this and what other cenarios can you imagine where your profile could fuck you up?

I assume Whatsapp encryption is equivalent to https, your connection to the server is encrypted and “impossible” to be intercepted and decrypted, but on the server end everything arrives as clear text, so the only people that can watch your conversation is the recipient of the messages and whatsapp.

My worst imagination is labelling you and selling your label to the companies they supply to, and how wrongly those companies can use that data, example: google search “prostate cancer” or searching for symptons associated with prostate cancer - label telling probable prostate cancer developing with this user - insurance companies denying insurance to you or making it too expensive. Now extrapolate this to what your searches probably tell about you or your state, and multiply by the websites you visit, the time you spend reading article/tweet/forum/post about a certain subject, where and how you comment those articles, etc, and being labeled according to their perceived likes/hates/problems about yourself.

RSS feeds is probably what you are looking for, create a group of your favorite news sources, most of the sites have them. I like feeder browser addon for Firefox.
